Traffic advisory for Highway 111 in Palm Desert

Motorists should expect delays Tuesday and Wednesday as Coachella Valley Water District performs work along Highway 111 near Fred Waring Drive in Palm Desert.

Only the southbound lane farthest to the right (the slow lane) will be closed, between Painters Path and Fred Waring Drive, but this likely will affect all southbound traffic in the area between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes or allow extra travel time if driving through the area.

CVWD appreciates each motorist's patience while the work is being performed. Water and sewer service should not be affected.
